★★★★★ Never thought to buy a coffee machine of any kind for me regular black coffee is good enough,until my one month trip to US.in that month i think i enjoyed lot of coffee from any kind first time in my life yes included from Starbucks and others..so after i landed back to my country i thought damn i wanna buy any coffee machine that will remines me at least some of coffee kinds in the US.so i bought this one, first its a very good deal with the 96 pods, sec easy to use easy to clean, and at the end a great tastes of the variety that come with the machine.bottom line if you looking for coffee machine but you don't want to spend so much money- get this one, 100% you will love it!

★★★☆☆ Coffee machine works exactly as it should, no faults to report.Red cable (as others have noted) -WHY would they do this?Coffee flavours included are fairly disgusting.Including the hot chocolate. I believe this is caused by the fake milk.I did not receive the Americano Bold, instead 2 boxes of the normal Americano. One cup later (strange taste of synthetic milk and coffee was disappointing) both boxes went in the bin.Likewise with the hot chocolate (tasted very strange).Latte tasted of gone off fake milk. Again, straight into the bin.I haven’t tried the Macchiato yet. I am not looking forward to that experience.Please be aware that you will need to use multiple pods to fill a normal sized mug. So if a drink requires a brown pod and whit pod, you will use 2 of each to fill a mug. I have found this with every coffee and the hot chocolate.I’ve see reviewers complain about needing to refill the machine a lot. I’ve found it very easy to refill and don’t see this as an issue. Also it is a tiny machine, why would it make sense for it to have a large tank?Buying this has made me realise I need to buy a coffee machine that works with coffee of my choice and real milk.I wish I had been able to taste coffee made with the pods, prior to purchase.

★★★★☆ With a degree in Physics and a lengthy career in telecoms technical sales, latterly at executive level, you'd think figuring out a coffee machine would be child's play. Wrong! The machine itself is fine, I figured it out myself, didn't get electrocuted and I've tasted my first coffee from it, it tastes good. But the instruction manual could literally be an object lesson in how NOT to write these things. First of all there are three manuals, the first about safety: don't stick your fingers in the mains electricity socket, that sort of thing. The third is about how to buy capsules. Also fine. The second, however, is where the problems lie. Firstly, it is for three totally different machines: the Nespresso Vertuo, the Nespresso Vertuo Plus (my one) and the Vertuo Next. Pictures of how to operate the machine seem to vary randomly between all three and are completely unhelpful if you happen to own a different model: all have different features and different controls. And instead of the usual tedious and wasteful practice of giving you a really fat manual with an English, French, German section in, this manual has each individual step, sometimes across several pages, stated in 48 different languages, including such oddities as Russian, Arabic and who knows what else. Thankfully the English is first, otherwise you'd be pecking around so long to find Gujarati or whatever that you'd lose the will to live. There is no clear layout, with some sections just for one machine - for example the bluetooth setup, and others for all three in one common instruction set. And the approach to multiple languages means that the instructions are incredibly terse. Cleaning, for example, suggests pressing the only button on the thing three times within 2 seconds. Fair enough - it does some sort of cleaning cycle. But does it stop on its own? No idea. The manual doesn't say. After filling three very large cups with grubby looking water I decided to call time on it and press the button again, which seemed to persuade it to call a halt after a little more whizzing noises. And of course, I discovered you are supposed to run this cycle BEFORE dispensing your first coffee - after I had drunk the first cup. I doubt a little manufacturing grease will kill me, but it would be nice to have been told that more clearly. And there is also a descaling programme, which involves more gesturing with buttons and levers to coax it into operation. In summary, a fine machine ruined by a desire to save 2.5p on logistics to different countries and a technical writer who can barely spell. Final thought: does the author understand that 'BLINKING SUMMARY' could be a cause for some hilarity in the UK? Apparently not, as it lays out the various blink codes that the machine uses to indicate various conditions such as an empty tank, self-destruct mode engaged, or could it be the arrival of Darth Vader? Nobody knows unless you have an R2D2 unit handy or commit this lengthy blinking guide to memory. This guide really is a work of the utmost stupidity: who would have guessed that 'no light on' means that the machine is switched off? Really???UPDATE: I've now downloaded the United States version of this manual, which is in a more rational 3 languages: English, Spanish and French, and consequently has a lot more space to actually tell you how to use this specific product, the Vertuo Plus. To my astonishment, an entire feature is described which is missing entirely from the UK, Europe and Middle East manual: you can programme each cup size. Simply put in a capsule of the required cup size, espresso, double espresso, etc, then hold down the button until your cup is to the right fill. It will then remember the new setting for every capsule that size in future, until a factory reset is performed (also described). Any size fill for any nominal capsule size, from 10ml to 500ml is permitted. So you can dilute your espresso capsule into a large mug, if you really want to, and at the same time programme your 'Alto' (v. large) capsules into an espresso cup. More rationally, if you have 75ml cups, you can re-programme your double espresso setting (80ml by default) to fit. I checked the UK manual - this whole feature is simply absent. And as for the cleaning cycle, that is described fully. It takes 5 minutes, requires a 0.8L cup under it, and will complete on its own.

★★★★☆ Prob should have spent a bit more on an automatic model rather than manual. Not that it’s taxing standing there holding the hot water button but you can’t walk away until your cup is as full as you want it. I’m not a fan of the dolce gusto pods because they hang on to quite a bit of water so soak through your bin - i pierce the pod and squeeze out the excess which is a bit of a pain. Prefer my Nespresso, gave this to my elderly dad and he seems to like it because it’s manual so you can’t go wrong with your coffee - suppose it suits a basic need!

How about a variety of different named brands?This us the DeLonghi Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS Coffee Pod Machine, Black & Red, 800ml.If you like coffee then you would've no doubt had a coffee machine, this is my fourth, we have a Nespresso, Nespresso Vertuo Plus and Senseo. This is so far the pick of them! The variety of pods is great, you can get all the Mars range and add to that Starbucks!The machine is real simple to use, just fill up 800ml water reservoir, plug in, slot in pod on adapter push cover down, put cup under, wait for green light and pull lever to the right for hot and left for cold. You have to manually stop / start this machine via the top lever. So some will have milk capsules, so go two thirds and then put coffee pod in and fill other third.My only grumble is the hot chocolate pods, as they are only 150ml which is half a mug...not ideal. But also the water reservoir, being only 800ml, you will need to refill after every 2 cups.But the results are fantastic, so I will eventually upgrade to a bigger automatic machine. I fully recommend the Mars drink and the Starbucks Cappuccino.Overall for £30 this machine is an absolute steal, the results are ace, just a pity the servings on some of the branded drinks is so low. Recommended.

★★★★★ This machine was a lot smaller than the old one - see pic attachedThe negative being that there is no way you could fit a standard latte cup underneath, however I use insulated coffee cups anyway and these fit in fineWater tank holds enough water for 2 cupsPositives...The amount of water dispensed is measured and dispensed automatically - unlike the old one where I had to manually dispense the water - this new one has a dial for you to choose how large or small you want - large fills my coffee cup with milk to the correct level and dialled down to the small one dispenses the correct amount of coffee for a Latte for exampleThere is a setting for XL as well so you can dispense more for a larger cup tooDifferent colours of lights for setting tempsThe new one also comes with a cleaning pod - which is great - so you don't squirt water all over the place when cleaning it throughLooks smart and the touchpad is easy to use - overall I like it better than the old one and would recommend, particuarly if you can get it with the free coffee pods and discounted

Some people are saying the water tank is to small only 0.8 ltr you get 2 mugs from it. Then have to refill . But I am now on my own and this is just perfect stale water doesn't sit in tank and it's easy to take the lid of refill quick and simple this has to be the best yet .

★★★★★ Very happy with this machine. Makes good coffee, quickly. First cup of the day, I add one Intense Coffee pod, to a skinny cappuccino, to wake me up. I have the same machine, at our caravan, which isn't the touch version. That one, like many reviews say, does drip a little, once finished pouring. THIS Touch version absolutely does not drip. Had a Mini Me before this upgrade, and this version is easier to fill, as I don't have to take lid off the water container, just remove the lid and top it up in situ. Much better. Would recommend.
