★★★★☆ This is a light no-nonsense wristwatch. The key attributes of this watch are the hardness and lightness. Titanium may be more common than once was the case, but it still denotes class.Seiko claim in the booklet accompanying it that you can swim, but may not dive in it. I haven’t tried because it doesn’t have a screw down crown. Similarly, the wrist band has no lock to the clasp – but hey, this keeps the cost and weight down, so it’s a trade-off.The more I wear it, the more I like it. I wanted a day/date complication, but wonder now if the day is necessary? The watch would probably look better with just the date. Do I really never know what day of the week it is?I own a number of watches but this has become my daily go-to choice. It’s thin enough to be acceptable as a dress watch yet the numbers are unambiguous so you’re less likely to mistake the time if fatigued.

With a leather strap, it will make a good dress watch.The printing on the dial, and on the figures and letters and the day/date is flawless, and give it a appearance of quality that rivals more expensive brands.To my surprise, this caliber, 7S26, do not need winding with the crown, the instruction manual tell you to move the watch in a horizontal arc for 30 seconds, thats it. Its power reserve make it through a 8 hour sleep fine, it still runs after being still on the nightstand for 8-10 hours.The lume on the hands and index markers is clearly visible in the dark. The crown is " buried" into the case, it seem finicy to pullout, but the trick is to use the fingernail on the underside to pull it out, no problem. No problem to set the watch either, simple and forward, as explained in the manual.The instruction manual says you can expect + - 25 seconds accuracy a day, but my watch is so far much better, under 10 seconds a day, as good as more expensive brands, exellent for a watch to 100$, it is down from 295$.The watch was delivered a week before estimated delivery time !, and was in perfect condition, well done!Recommended for anyone looking for a classical good looking automatic watch.

The only way that you can get a refund, even though the watch loses time, is to have never worn it or removed any tags. When you purchase a new watch, you assume that it works and wear it. Well too bad. The most you can expect is to get is a repaired watch back after you ship the defective watch to them. I bought from Amazon because I thought that ensured that I wouldn't have such a problem. WRONG!! .Amazon only backs the seller's policy, that is the limit of their A to Z guarantee. Buy at your own risk. Read the fine details of every seller's return policy. As for me, Good Bye Amazon. I purchased a new watch that was defective, and I'm now stuck with a repaired watch that I don't want. Both Amazon's A to Z policy and the seller are sorely lacking, and I've lost my trust in Amazon.

★★★★★ I bought this watch in February because I was looking to try an automatic. I've been using Citizen Eco-Drive watches exclusively the past decade. Although my Citizen watches are great and haven't required batteries nor maintenance, I had the desire to give Seiko a try. My father has been a Seiko fan for his entire life and wears a Kinetic everyday.This is hands down one of my most pleasing purchases from Amazon. I am 100% completely satisfied with this watch. It tells great time. I usually check it against time.gov every two weeks or so and sometimes I don't even have to change it! Even when I have to change it, it has never been less or more than two minutes.The day/date are INCREDIBLY easy to read. It has the appearance that they are completely flat against the dial. Compared to my Citizen's, they are more recessed in the dial which creates a shadow/darkened appearance that makes the day/date harder to read.The hands/markers are easy to read. One thing I love about the hour markers is that the 6,9, and 12 o' clock positions are larger than the others, which makes telling time easy.The bracelet is wonderful! I absolutely LOVE the brushed steel appearance and feel. Much better than polished steel. It was also easy to adjust.The see-through caseback is a cool feature and I sometimes can't stop looking at it!The only con I would say, which probably isn't a big deal for a lot of people is the second hand. It is narrow and sometimes difficult to see against the dial when setting the time. The booklet says to pull out the crown when the second hand is at 00 position. As you can tell, this can create a problem when it is difficult to see the second hand. This wasn't something I originally cared about since I rarely have use for the second hand.Overall, great purchase and well worth the money. I will definitely buy another automatic watch and definitely another seiko. Great watch. 🙂

★★★★☆ I am a big watch junkie and I am very partial to Seiko watches. I currently own about half a dozen, mostly Kinetic watches and purchased this Automatic watch a few months back. I should start by saying, for the money, this might just be the best Automatic watch that you can buy. It's just such an affordable time piece that if you like the movement, it's hard to say no.There are a couple things that I am not crazy about however. Not that they are deal breaker items, but they should be noted. First, the crystal is mineral and not sapphire as you typically find in the higher end Seiko watches. While mineral crystal scratches easier, you have to weigh that with the fact that you are probably spending 3x less for this watch than you would be to get into a higher end timepiece that would feature a Sapphire crystal. The other issue, which in part is due to the nature of the movement, is that it just doesn't keep time as well as my Kinetic watches do. As I understand it, it is normal for Automatic watches to run a little fast or slow and require regular adjustments. I would say mine runs fast a few minutes per 7-10 days.If you switch out your watch regularly this is a non issue (in my opinion) because it only has a 24 hour power reserve, so if you switch watches for a few days you are going to need to re-set the time each time you put it on your wrist. If this is going to be your daily driver, be prepared to check your cell phone or other highly accurate time piece and make periodic adjustments to keep you watch accurate.The band is adequate, simple steel. Classy, but not extremely high end. There is definitely a difference you can feel between this simple steel band and the heavier duty stainless bands found on higher end Seiko watches. The band isn't flimsy and absolutely feels like it is sturdy enough to be a daily driver watch. Just pointing out what shouldn't be a surprise. You're not getting a $500 watch here.This really is a very nice looking watch and it dresses up and down very well. I get compliments on this watch regularly. If you like to wear a watch and are looking to stretch your collection a bit without breaking the bank this is a good bet. I especially like that it displays the day and the date. Not too many watches still offer the day listing, at least not in my collection. All in all, I am very happy to have added this to my collection and I would buy it again.**Side note**As I understand it, the biggest difference between Kinetic and Automatic watches are that both are powered by movement, but that Kinetic take that energy and charge up a battery which delivers power as a quartz movement does (tick tick tick) and Automatic watches convert almost all of that motion directly to power. The result is a much smaller power reserve (24 hours in this watches case) before it's going to stop working. My Kinetic watches can run between a month to six months and more depending on model without any recharge. Automatic watches are also responsible for the sweeping second hand. I'm no watch smith, but I think that's a pretty decent layman's breakdown on the two movements. 🙂

I bought it because I really like the look of diver watches with Pepsi bezels. And after spending much time comparing different watches in this price range, I felt that this was the best-looking watch of this style.I have been using this watch for the past 2 weeks. And I am very satisfied with it. It is very accurate. I haven't had to adjust the time much. About the only negative I can find is that this watch does not have a power reserve meter or hand wind. (Just know that if you don't use it every day, it will lose it's charge and stop. I estimate that it holds a 15 hour charge.)I did replace the stock bracelet with a nice blue leather strap from Straps Co. Even though the stock bracelet is very nice, I wanted something that would be comfortable enough for daily use. You can use any 22mm strap with this watch.I get many compliments from people when they see my watch.

But why is this advertised as a watch which is OK for swimming? The back is marked "Water resistant" and the Seiko instruction leaflet says "...your watch is manufactured to withstand up to 3 bar...but is not designed for wearing while swimming." Guess I will still have to travel with my fifteen year old, £9.00 Casio watch which has been in pools, seas and oceans without once missing a beat. Amazon should ask the seller to amend the description to accurately describe this product.

The movement is of high quality, and effectively enclosed in a water-resistant case (I wouldn't and haven't tried it in the shower, but it's dealt with a couple of bad rainstorms). The strap is simple, and obviously if you're not happy with it it's a simple job to get it replaced. I've worn it frequently for best part of four months now, and the glass is still scratch-free, so it's quite resistant to damage too (as the hardlex name presumably implies).It's important to point out that whilst this watch is automatic, it cannot be wound manually. This means it does require you to wear it whenever you can to keep it wound, although a vigorous shaking will always bring it to life. It keeps superb time, however, and the date wheel is easy to correct during shorter months.Great value for money, seems to retail on Amazon for anywhere between £40 and £60, and it's very much worth two to three times as much. It's now my go-to watch for everything but the dressiest of occasions.

The edge of the dial is cleverly bevelled and the whole dial is behind a crystal clear face made of (you guessed it) something like the sapphire faces used elsewhere, but in this case, not actually sapphire.Time keeping? In the handbook, the target is given as +/- 15 seconds a month and progress so far is consistent with this target.This is the fourth Seiko that I have owned, starting with one of their first "SQ" models in 1988, a watch that was incredibly precise, achieving +/- 5 seconds a year, nothing like 15 seconds a month. It had a tiny inductance, made with ultra fine wire, and the watch emitted a faint but audible whine. Then came two nice-looking watches which were poor time keepers, achieving about +/- 60 seconds a month. There was no explanation as to why they kept time so poorly except that modern quartz movements no longer use the tiny wound inductances which may have been the key to the SQ's outstanding accuracy.So I have great hopes for this watch.

I've read lots of reviews on Seiko 5's including a complete dismantling of the mechanism detailing the quality of the design and parts. I think it represents excellent hassle free value that should last a long time and looks decent. Don't expect it to be as accurate as a quartz but it's still very good for an automatic. If you want the extra accuracy you may wish to consider the solar powered Citizen Ecodrive but don't keep it up your sleeve too much. I considered this but I'm active a lot at night and there's that something about the Seikos.The seller Direct Diamond Centre / Sparkle were very fast to dispatch on a Saturday.Recommended.

★★★★★ I'm giving this a five star rating for the watch itself. The strap is a steaming pile. I'm new to this whole mechanical watch thing, so I was looking at bang for the buck. I like military/aviator style watches and this one seemed to fit the bill on the checklist. I have to say, when it arrived, I was surprised for so little money you'd get such a nice timepiece. The box and little pillow are nice. This would make a great gift for a nerdy kid. There are a ton of other reviews, so I'll just get down to what I like: The lume is powerful enough that I can read the watch all night long without having to charge it under a light. If I wake up at 4:45 am, I can see that's what time it is. The watch is quiet in operation. I do hear the jingle jangle of the rotor in the back swinging around with my arm when I move sometimes, but it's not annoying. My particular watch is very accurate. I've had it running for three weeks now and it has lost 14 seconds. I took the strap off of mine as soon as I got it and made one out of leather, so my photos are not representative of the strap that comes with it. The strap that comes with it is really thin and cheap feeling. I'd feel guilty using the strap that came with it as a collar for a feral cat, let alone my wrist. My only personal complaint of the watch is that it seems a bit small on me, but fashion comes and goes and changes. It's big enough that it doesn't look goofy. If I wasn't married, I'd immediately buy the other colors so I had one to go with every outfit.

Here is my own breakdown of the watch, in no particular order:Size:I have a 7 inch wrist and this watch fits me very nicely. It's such a relief to find an affordable, reasonably-sized, automatic watch these days when every new watch design coming out seems to be 40mm in diameter or larger. I would consider this a "mid-sized" watch for anyone with a medium to small wrist. Also, in case anyone is interested, the width of the lugs and strap for this watch is 18mm.Fit and Finish:The quality and craftsmanship of this watch is pretty outstanding considering it only cost $60. The dial is sharp and the lume is totally useable. Make no mistake, this watch was most likely assembled entirely by robots, but I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing (they did a pretty good job on mine). The watch strap leaves a little to be desired, feeling a bit coarse on the skin; I'll probably replace it eventually, but for now, it's doing just fine.Accuracy:I've been keeping track of my watch's accuracy compared to the US atomic clock for the last week and I have to say I'm impressed. It's been consistently 2-4 seconds fast per day, which is even more accurate than its officially stated specifications. In other words, it's overachieving in a big way. To get more accurate than this you are going to have to shell out at least 5 times the cash.Automatic Mechanism:This watch employs a Seiko 7S26C movement, which, in my humble opinion, is an absolute marvel of modern engineering. It is rumored that this mechanism costs all of $10 to produce, which, if true, is simply amazing. It's extremely efficient in winding the mainspring and is reported to be very durable, shock-resistant, and extremely low-maintenance in the long-term. You couldn't really ask for much more from such an inexpensive movement. I will say, the rotor does "rattle" ever so slightly when the watch is jerked around suddenly, but this is nothing that you can hear unless you have it close to your ear. It hasn't bothered me at all and doesn't seem to have any impact on the function of the watch. Lastly, this movement is not officially "hackable" but you can actual manually force it to hack by turning the crown slightly against its normal rotation direction while in the second position... this effectively stops the seconds hand. If you turn it back to normal then the second hand starts back up again. Hack achieved! Now just set the hour and minutes and you're good to go.Water Resistance:This watch has a stated water-resistance of 30 meters (or 3 ATM). I haven't really tested this, but I have washed the watch in a sink without any incident. Personally, I won't hesitate to swim in this watch even though the manufacturer guidelines tell you not to swim in a 30m WR watch (the manufacturers are just covering their own skin, in my opinion, but your opinion might vary). I'm betting that this watch will most likely keep a seal while the gaskets and O-rings are relatively new, and besides, it's only a $60 watch anyway... not worth losing sleep over.Summary:Compared to many of the more expensive automatic watches out there, this watch basically gives you 80% of the functionality for 20% of the cost (or less!). I'd say that's a steal any way you look at it!

★★★★★ Love this watch! A great buy. This is my first and only automatic watch. I wasn't sure about the color when I first got it. I put a leather strap on it with a stainless steel deployment clasp with a brushed finish and WOW! I think it looks fantastic. The green face gives it a unique look. It is darker green and almost looks black from a distance. The white with brown leather and the black with brown leather are the more classic combinations, so I feel a little special with the green and brown leather, which I like. I'll post some pictures and you be the judge. I think it is fun to keep it as close to the exact time by checking the accuracy with an radio controlled "atomic" clock ($10) each morning and night. I learned how each night position affects the accuracy so I use the position that will keep it most accurate. I generally end up losing about 2 seconds per day and I make a minute adjustment about once a month. I have a small wrist, so the smaller size suits me fine. The lume in the dark is not the greatest for my aging eyes. It is ok if I go from sunlight to dark since the lume will be brighter for 20 minutes or so. I still can't believe I got this for around $56. My guess is most more expensive automatics aren't much more accurate. I wear it almost every day, so I have not had a problem with it stopping. To me this watch wants to be worn and wants my attention. Like a good pet, if I give it my attention, it gives me back much in return.

My wrist gets compliments and rather amusing lingering looks both at work and socially, the watch really does look like a far more expensive Seiko.It seems to lose about 2 minutes per week if I wear it every day, and it stops entirely if I don't wear it over the weekend. Both completely acceptable to me, and for the price and quality of finish, nothing to worry about. The bracelet was also very easy to adjust myself following a simple video on youtube.Highly recommended.

It tells great time. I usually check it against time.gov every two weeks or so and sometimes I don't even have to change it! Even when I have to change it, it has never been less or more than two minutes.The day/date are INCREDIBLY easy to read. It has the appearance that they are completely flat against the dial. Compared to my Citizen's, they are more recessed in the dial which creates a shadow/darkened appearance that makes the day/date harder to read.The hands/markers are easy to read. One thing I love about the hour markers is that the 6,9, and 12 o' clock positions are larger than the others, which makes telling time easy.The bracelet is wonderful! I absolutely LOVE the brushed steel appearance and feel. Much better than polished steel. It was also easy to adjust.The see-through caseback is a cool feature and I sometimes can't stop looking at it!The only con I would say, which probably isn't a big deal for a lot of people is the second hand. It is narrow and sometimes difficult to see against the dial when setting the time. The booklet says to pull out the crown when the second hand is at 00 position. As you can tell, this can create a problem when it is difficult to see the second hand. This wasn't something I originally cared about since I rarely have use for the second hand.Overall, great purchase and well worth the money. I will definitely buy another automatic watch and definitely another seiko. Great watch. 🙂

★★★★☆ I ordered both the K (Malaysia-made) and the J (Japanese-made) versions to compare quality. Thought the J version would be superior. Once compared side by side, I found the opposite.They were absolutely identical in finish, dial color and overall build quality, except for the second hand in the J-version, which looked like it had a fingerprint smudge on it and also had unpolished rough edges. The second hand on the K version was polished and perfect. A small difference most people wouldn't notice or care about.Both bracelets rattled and squeaked out of the box, but a little light oil (RemOil in this case) in the pin joints quieted them right down. Shouldn't have to do that of course, but it made a huge difference.Timed both against an atomic clock app on the iPhone over 48 hours. The K version has lost about 2 seconds per day. The J version gained about 17 seconds per day. The K version wins. Either way, pretty impressive accuracy for any automatic movement, let alone one in a sub-$150 watch.I had tried the SNZH53J1 (Japanese) blue dial version last year, but ended up selling it. The dial was a deep dark blue, but the glass bezel color turned out to be a washed-out grey-blue. Nice watch, but that color mismatch didn't quite work. On the other hand, this black model matches the dial and bezel much better and the whole watch has a cohesive look.

★★★☆☆ I carefully studied this watch before purchasing because of its resemblance to the Blancpain and Omega Seamaster. This model uses a 7s36 movement which is exactly like the 7s26. Which means, this can accept future mods anyone wants to apply to it. Aside from that, the watch already has a nice set of hands and also its dial.Watch that I recieved was in semi perfect condition. Weirdly enough, there were some scratches on the crystal. Would give 5 but there were some scratches on the crystal and some wear marks on the bracelet even though it was marked as new. Other than that case was scratchless and watch works perfectly.

The timepiece itself is good, the movement is functional, and in my three days of wearing it, the time seems to be kept accurately. The day date window is clear and the print is clear and readable. The exhibition window on the back is nice, but reveals the lower quality movement. and less than freely moving pendulum winding mechanism. All in all I'd give it an 8, and possibly higher with the lower costs.After running the gambit in the watch world, and spending way to much for higher end watches, I've decided to downsize drastically.A comparative study on watch quality.Warranty return, replacements by brand:Anonimo D-Date - Returned to Switzerland, and received an acknowledgement of receipt. Three months later, after many emails and calls, I was told the watch was misplaced and they would settle with me for $500. This for my $2,800 watch.Panerai Luminor - Stopped dead in it's tracks. Tried to get it warranted, and was told the damage was from abuse. Interesting determination since they never saw the watch. Sold it to a guy for half it's value who said he had an in at Panerai. He did, got it fixed for free, and reported being happy.Tag Heuer Aquaracer - Great watch with no issues, just sold it to get a different time peace.Tissot PRS516. The 9 O'clock hour hand fell off. I contacted Tissot and was told it was under warranty. They would fix it if I paid the shipping to them, and the $250 service charge for cleaning, otherwise to (my term) get bent. Since I paid $525 for the watch, I took it down and gave it to a jeweler friend for parts.I now own two watches - A Casio Illuminator and this Seiko. Yes, if I could afford them I would own a Hublot MP-05, a Urwerk UR-210CP, and Christophe Claret X-Trem 1.

★★★★☆ UPDATE BELOW...I wanted to wait a couple months to see how I liked it after the initial excitement of New Watch Day. It's been about 10 weeks and I've worn it probably 3-4 days a week and love it. As mentioned in other reviews, the internet just doesn't translate the gorgeous color of the dial. It's deep, nearly navy blue that looks incredible in the sun. I own other watches that have SUN in red text on the day display, but none that have SAT in any other color than the weekdays...but this Seiko has a bright royal blue SAT that makes me want to wear it even more on the weekends.I'm not a fan of bracelets, so I switched it out immediately for a blue and gray nato. However, it's kind of a tall watch for it's size (14mm height x 42mm width) and the nato makes it tough to tuck under a shirt cuff. I also snagged a tan leather strap that looks good, though I wish I got something a little darker (More of a medium brown). The bezel is a dark blue and gets a lot of spinning when I'm bored or fidgety.The crown is a little plain, but doesn't stick out too far so it won't bother your hand by poking it. I love display casebacks and sometimes spend a minute starting at the movement before I strap on the watch for the day.All in all, it's an excellent watch and an unreal value at

★★★★★ I waited three weeks to write this review as I wanted to get over my initial exuberance and make some objective observations about this watch.First impressions; it's beautiful! I was attracted to this watch because of it similarity in looks to the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean line. No, you'll never fool an Omega buff but you just might get a compliment or two from your co-workers. The blue face is attractive until the sunlight hits it-then it becomes downright gorgeous.It's a heavyweight at 5.76 ounces with the included bracelet; compare that to the Rolex Submariner at 4.7 ounces. I'll be honest-the weight bothered me just a bit, but not enough to take it off my wrist. This slight annoyance was remedied with the purchase of a "Bond" (as in James) NATO strap* (as seen in the pic I've included). In addition to lowering the weight, it gave the watch a unique "aficionado's" look.Over the initial three week evaluation period the SNZH gained about two minutes' and most of that was during the first week (approx 1.5 minutes). As a former Rolex owner I find this completely acceptable-my GMT Master would easily lose 5 or 6 minutes a month.I took the watch of Sunday night prior to retiring for the evening and left it off until it ran out of power. That was Tuesday afternoon at 1:45, over 36 hours later. That too is acceptable to me.Other than being suspect of the durability of the domed crystal, I have nothing but good things to say about this watch. In closing I am compelled to ask no one in particular, "All this for $138-are you kidding me?"*It's called the "Bond" strap because it's a reproduction of the strap that Daniel Craig as James Bond wore with his Omega in the movie, "Spectre."

After much research I settled on the SNZG15 as a new Seiko that I could wear regularly. Much has been written about the accuracy and quality of this product and I concur that it is a great watch. Comfortable band, easy to read numbers, very good luminescent markings, and a cool window into its inner workings in the back. It does not have the whistles and bells of the solar-powered, multi-timezone digital Casio that I also own, but sometimes simplicity is a good thing.The Amazon vendor who sent the watch (Island Watch of New York) was amazingly fast in getting it to me (even with free shipping) and they provided all Seiko documentation including the warranty.

★★★★★ I was recently on vacation in Mexico and realized that I should get a more durable and cheap watch than my vintage Omega, something I could either wear to the beach and not worry about getting wet or sandy, or that I could leave in the hotel room without being unduly concerned. So I picked this—water resistant, quartz movement and under a hundred bucks. When the box arrived I was once again struck by how classic Japanese brands like Seiko just manage to get it right. The case was attractive, the watch itself mounted on a satin pillow, and the manual was excellently printed. It looked like Swiss watch packaging. The watch itself is elegant, and keeps perfect time. Setting time and date is a cinch—it has a to-click crown to make adjustments. The stopwatch is excellent, and even has a split time function. As has been pointed out in other reviews the weakest link is the strap, but it's easy to replace, and as a decent strap can cost as much as this amazingly priced watch you can't really complain. I've added a picture with the replacement strap (also bought from Amazon).

I also have a Seiko divers watch that I have had for many years, and it has been a great watch. I needed another good quality, dependable everyday watch. So I bought this model and I am extremely satisfied.Some thoughts on the various reviews:Regarding the reviews of the strap...i agree the strap was very stiff/hard. after about a week it seemed much more comfortable. I agree that it doesn't match the quality of the watch.Regarding "Do Not Fall For The Photos"...come on, you've got to be kidding me! This person must be part of the Yelp generation (whiners). The pictures of the watch on my monitor (24") were approximately 4 inches. I didn't expect the watch to be 4 inches in diameter. The description was crystal clear (get it?). it's clearly stated the case diameter is 40 millimeters. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to take a ruler (most have metric increments on them), lay it across another watch and get an idea of the size. that is exactly what i did, and i am not disappointed with its size.all things considered, i believe it is a good quality watch at a very good price. shipping was fast and it was packed very well. i would recommend this watch!

★★★★★ I have been looking for a watch for months, and really wanted an Omega, but could not justify the cost (at least at this time). Seiko is one of the best bang for the buck brands, so looked at various styles, prices, and reviews on Amazon. This one was closest to what I was looking for.The size is perfect. Not overly bulky, but substantial and noticeable. Easy to read. The face has depth to it since the rim (where the numbers are located) is angled from the face to the crystal. While I don't need a stopwatch, I played with it and works flawlessly - entertaining to see 3 different hands work in sync. Nice that all 3 of those hands can be micro-adjusted manually if they are ever off from center.The band is a little stiff at first, but after a week of wearing it, it's fine.Two things that are of slight concern (but not enough to ding a star):1. Warranty is through a 3rd party since particular item on Amazon is imported2. The watch arrived running. Typically the crown is pulled to save the battery before purchase. Being a watch from 2012, it perhaps has been running in it's box for 2 years.Overall, a great watch for a great price.

★★★★★ I have owned this watch for about 2 weeks now. This watch looks alot better in person. Buying this watch i knew it was small in diameter and it surprised me in how well it looks on my wrist. Although it is small is still has a very masculine and stylish look and feel. this is my first automatic watch and i am very satisfied with my purchase. I did how ever purchase a new strap for it as i feel the cream/tan of the face combined with the original strap makes the watch look cheap and dull. I replaced it with a Hadley Roma MS854 18mm. The watch looks superb now. The leather strap really brought out the face more, it makes for an excellent combo that can be worn for many occasions. If you really want to up your style this watch can do just that.

It's sharp looking in an understated way and works well with a wide variety of attire. I'd definitely recommend for anyone interested in a good looking but high value watch.Pros:The beige color is a lot more attractive in person than I thought. It looks good with the existing band, and goes well with a wide variety of other bands. I think pairing it with a dark leather band gives it more of a retro look and I've seen pictures of it with various colors of NATO bands that all look nice. I was a little unsure at first (I generally go with darker colors), but I'm really happy with the color.Lightweight and nice sized face. It's big enough to see, but not so big that you always know it's there.Seems pretty accurate for such an inexpensive automatic watch. I didn't try to set mine to the second, but it's still within 1 minute after 9 days. My unscientific observations were that it picked up most of the time the first day I set it (when it probably wasn't wound that well) and has run a few seconds fast per day since.Cons:The band (at least the one I got) scratched up my arm quite a bit. It had some loose threads/stitching which I was able to trim to help, but I don't think I should have to do that for a new watch. Otherwise the band seems pretty sturdy and it has a strip of (p?)leather to stabilize the holes.Other:I added some pictures of the watch with a brown leather band and a blue/grey NATO band. The actual color of the face is closer to the picture with the brown band (more peach than yellow).I like the sandblasted finish, but I'm guessing it probably won't wear all that well over time (since any scratches will remove the matte finish).I'm not really sure about the lume, since I haven't really done any significant testing. It seems like it's brighter than a previous Fossil watch I had, but it fades much quicker. It's not really been a problem, but it's not anything special.

It was a little inconsistent the first few days (+-5s/day - which honestly isn't bad at all) but once it seems to have broken in it's been solid.The bead blasted finish looks great without being flashy, and I actually like the strap it came with much more than I thought I would. I'm still going to replace it with a brown leather one, soon, but it's nice to have the nylon strap as an option if I think I might get it wet. The watch is perfectly sized for me (it looks manly without being oversized).As far as durability, it seems great so far. I'm a valet, which means I'm constantly running around hurriedly, loading/unloading heavy luggage, jumping in and out of cars, etc. I regularly bump by watch on car doors, bell carts, concrete walls, and I've yet to develop any noticeable blemishes in the bezel or case or loss/gain of time from it being vigorously shaken and regularly bumped.There's something about how this watch feels on your wrist that is part of the experience. It feels substantial: not heavy or bothersome, but you know it's there. It also is cool to feel and hear the rotor move when you shake your wrist. Additionally, the display back is fun. It's cool to watch the rotor move and the balance wheel move back and forth. The movement is certainly not beautifully finished in the way a Grand Seiko or a haute Swiss watch would be, but ITS 50 BUCKS!!!!Overall, the watch is great. I paid $53 to buy it from Amazon which came with the manufacturer warranty from Seiko and shipped with Prime. While I'm sure it's not indestructible, it looks great, it's versatile, and it's a reliable mechanical watch for under $60. That's unheard of.Edit: 6 months outWatch has several small scratches on the case now from being thoroughly abused. Only noticeable if you're close up and adds to its overall character.There's also 2 or three VERY fine scratches on the crystal. You have to get it in just the right light to see them. Let me remind you I accidentally smack this watch into a concrete wall on a moderately regular basis.I have it on a brown leather band from Hadley Roma and it looks great. I wear it every day with everything from a tank top to a suit.I've had time to really watch the accuracy and its consistently about -30s/day. One of these days I might open it up and regulate it, but for now I just move it up a minute every other day.Still extremely satisfied with my purchase. This thing has got me hooked on real watches and now I want a Nomos Orion and a JLC MUT Moon. Maybe one day...

Las fotografías que dejo en esta opinión no hacen justicia, ¡tienes que ponértelo en la muñeca para apreciarlo de verdad!Sólo un punto negativo. La correa trae un refuerzo frontal de piel, debería ser suficiente para evitar la rotura de los ojales pero como ves en las fotografías, en la parte trasera hay bastante desgaste después de un mes de uso (y de mucho poner y quitar). No debería ser un problema, a parte de eso la correa parece fiable, por eso mantengo las cinco estrellas.Compra maestra. Relojazo automático con mucha presencia y un precio inmejorable.

El envío, como siempre, rápido y eficaz, aunque tuve que esperar unos días hasta que hubiera existencias. El reloj es francamente bonito, además de preciso y elegante. Con una correa de piel ganaría en presencia. En mi opinión, el tamaño perfecto, 42". La agujas son luminiscentes y prácticamente son visibles durante toda la noche. La única pega que le pondría, aunque es un mal menor, es que el indicador del día de la semana viene en inglés y en alemán. Siendo un producto vendido en territorio español, hubiera estado bien que viniera en castellano. Por lo demás, muy satisfecho con la compra.

★★★★★ Me parece un reloj con una excelente relación valor/precio, es elegante sin ser ostentoso, también tiene un tamaño moderado para lo que se lleva ahora.Antes que este he tenido otros dos Seiko (uno automático y otro a pilas) y ambos me han salido muy buenos, los dos siguen funcionando todavía pese a tener varias décadas a sus espaldas.Generalmente los automáticos son menos exactos que los de pilas, pero en la semana que llevo con él, desde que lo puse en hora de forma exacta, no me parece que tenga un desajuste digno de consideración, eso se verá a largo plazo, pero mientras se mantenga en unos márgenes razonables y previsibles no le veo problema.

Gana mucho en directo. Leyendo comentarios veo que a mucha gente le llega el reloj con el calendario en ínglés/alemán, inglés/francés, etc... yo he tenido la suerte que mi unidad tenga el calendario en inglés/español. La verdad es que podrían especificar esto en la descripción para no llevarse sorpresas, aunque siendo un producto vendido en España deberían cerciorarse que el calendario sea en español.En otras webs lo he encontrado sensiblemente más barato, pero prefiero pagar 25 € más y tener las garantías y todas la ventajas de comprar en Amazon, además siendo un producto vendido directamente por ellos. Este Reloj tiene una esfera algo pequeña para mi muñeca y resulta algo grueso ya que el 'suelo' del reloj se estrecha pero aumenta el grosor de la caja. Funciona muy bien en cuanto a exactitud.El diseño y calidad de acabado es excelente por el precio que se paga... yo he comprado dos uno para mi y otro para mi suegro a 88 y 69 euros (sugiero que aprovecheis cuando baje).Me gusta mucho el color de la esfera, no es Negra como parece en la foto, es un gris metalico muy oscuro.

Por tanto, mal que me pese por el gran diseño de este reloj, me he visto obligado a devolverlo.-------Reseña antigua:Para empezar, este reloj encaja totalmente con mis gustos. Por estética le daría 5 estrellas, pero sería una opinión demasiado subjetiva. La marca Lorus, es submarca de Seiko, por lo que tiene un plus de fiabilidad.Como reloj, tiene una apariencia robusta, nada que ver con relojes baratos muy plásticos: con una caja de acero de 46 mm de diámetro, en la muñeca lo que más podemos destacar como defecto es su anchura de la caja (16 mm) y sobre todo, su peso, que es algo superior a otros relojes que he tenido y que el primer día puesto puede notarse molesto. Por tanto, cuesta un poco acostumbrarse.Tras ese inconveniente, no se le pueden sacar muchos más defectos: quizás la visibilidad de los dígitos en entornos semi-oscuros, dependiendo de como incide la luz ambiente en el reloj, así de nítidos se aprecian.La precisión que mantiene se suma a la media del mercado, en el sistema digital apenasse retrasa unos pocos segundos al mes, Hay que destacar que la hora digital y la analógica se programan por separado (sistemas independientes, en otros es automático), por ello es algo engorroso reajustarlo, pero da sensación de mayor fiabilidad ya que el sistema digital no tiene que controlar el movimiento del sistema analógico.Leer más ›

★★★★★ Siendo de la casa SEIKO, aunque LORUS, es un reloj muy presentable, grande y deportivo.Las funciones que yo quería de cronómetro y alarma son digitales y es sumergible a 100 m.Un detalle muy bueno es que las funciones digitales numéricas no se aprecian a simple vista por otra persona que no seas tu y de noche tienen luz opcional, con lo que el reloj no resulta nada "friki"; al contrario se ve bastante elegante.Y por este precio..... no se puede pedir más.

★★★★★ Apariencia robusta y elegante, me encanta este tipo de estética.No es la primera vez que tengo un Lorus y si me da el resultado de otros que aun poseo, tengo reloj para rato (al fin y al cabo lleva la marca Seiko a la espalda).La única pega que tengo es que la correa (donde cascan mas habitualmente este tipo de relojes) no puede ser genérica y habrá que buscar en su día un recambio oficial, pero ya nos preocuparemos de eso cuando llegue el momento.La iluminación de solo los datos de pantalla me parece mucho mas efectiva que el que se ilumine toda la esfera.Creo que es una buena compra y tengo reloj para rato.

★★★★☆ Une automatique a un prix tous doux.La Seiko Military, l'une des rares automatique a un prix abordable (comme toute la gamme Seiko 5)destiné au début au marché Asiatique, elle ce trouve maintenant sur le net grâce a l'import.Mais au fait, c'est quoi une automatique ?Et bien une automatique n'est ni plus, ni moins qu'une montre mécanique, sauf qu'il n'y a pas de remontoir (sauf si c'est une mécanique / automatique ^^) en fait, la montre ce remonte grâce au mouvement du poignet. Donc, pas de pile, pas de quartz et une autonomie illimité sur le papier (oui, car tous fini par s'user).Et donc, après cette parenthèse, venons en a la montre. Déjà, elle ne conviendra pas au gros poignet, elle n'est pas minuscule non plus, mais si vous avez des bras comme des cuisses, il vous faudra la version étanche 100m (cadran de 41mm), si vous êtes dans la normal, alors elle est faite pour vous.Il faut savoir que cette version de la Military n'est étanche qu'a 30m, donc pas de baignade, mais elle tolère une immersion peut profonde et accidentel, on peut ce doucher avec (je ne vois pas l'intérêt mais bon) et bien sur, elle résiste au nettoyage a l'eau pour faire disparaître les traces sur sont superbe font en verre.Le cadran de la version kaki est a mi chemin entre le verre olive et le noir, une couleur qui change et qui va je trouve très bien sur ce genre de montre. La molette de réglage a deux positions, la première, pour la date et le jour (en anglais et espagnol), et la deuxième pour l'heure, on sent la qualité, car les ''clic'' sont bien net et bien franc.Lire la suite ›

★★★★☆ Je recherchais une montre au style "militaire" et de qualité. J'ai trouvé cette "SEIKO 5". Certe cette SEIKO ne figure pas sur le site officiel car les montres "5" sont destinées à "monsieur tout le monde".Mais les 5 qualités de cette série sont bien présentes :- donner l'heure ;- afficher la date ;- être étanche ;- être anti-choc ;- possèder un mécanisme à remontage automatique!De plus, le mouvement est visible, la date est disponible en 2 langues.Seul bémol, elle ne résiste qu'au éclaboussure d'eau et ne peut être portée pour nager.Mais pour le prix, je n'en tiens pas rigueur. Car il existe un modèle dans la gamme "SEIKO 5" qui peut peut être portée en nageant pour la somme d'environ 150,00 € et est disponible sur ce site. Je ne voulais pas débourser une telle somme pour cette montre qui m'accompagnera cet été en Afrique !Bref, vraiment satisfait et content de cette montre !

★★★★★ Pour ce prix très intéressant, vous avez une Seiko qui vaut bien son ainée (celle qui coute cher). Je l'ai depuis 2 mois et tout est OK. Elle retarde seulement de 2 secondes chaque semaine mais c'est un plaisir de la remettre à l'heure. Heure très lisible, idem dans la pénombre. Bracelet plutôt de bonne facture. ★★★★☆ La montre est belle, je dirais même que les photos ne lui rendent pas vraiment justice: le bleu sombre du cadran est d'un très bel effet.Toutefois, il y a quelques petites choses à savoir sur le mouvement: le changement de date (jour de la semaine - date) se fait en un peu plus de 4 heures. Vers 23h00, la date commence à se déplacer. Le jour en fait autant, peu après minuit, mais en plusieurs fois car le cadran permet 2 langues, qui défilent l'une après l'autre. Peu pratique si vous travaillez de nuit...L'affichage phosphorescent est un peu curieux: le gros point phosphorescent de la trotteuse est opposé à la position réelle de la trotteuse... D'autre part, et là, c'est lié au mouvement 7s26 qui équipe cette montre, la trotteuse ne peut pas être arrêtée, ce qui limite la précision de la mise à l'heure.Bref, c'est assez précis, mais, même si la montre ne dérive que de 3-4 secondes par jour, la précision du réglage est de l'ordre de 30 secondes...Encore un bémol, lié également au mouvement: cette montre ne se remonte pas! Sachez qu'elle est exclusivement automatique... et qu'il faut absolument la porter pour qu'elle fonctionne! Si vous pensez la porter de façon intermittente, ce ne sera pas un bon choix!Et pour terminer, le bracelet, joli, en tissu avec des boucles métalliques. Il permet une grande gamme de tailles de poignets, mais j'ai du le mettre au dernier cran: cela fait clairement de cette montre une montre "adulte", car il n'y a pas moyen de réaliser des trous supplémentaires pour un enfant ou un ado un peu maigre...Mais, pour le prix... ces quelques défauts sont pardonnables! Je me répète: cette montre est jolie et fonctionne très correctement.

★★★★☆ J'ai commandé ce produit Seiko Uhren Herrenuhr SNZF17K1pour un jeune homme qui aime la mer et qui venait de réussir son brevet.Après avoir passé la commande, j'ai regardé le suivi colis peu après qui indiquait que ca partait de Singapore . . .Ma première réaction a été de me dire que j'étais pas prêt de recevoir le cadeau. Erreur ! Parti de Singaporele 5 juillet, reçu le 7 en Haute Savoie.Première impression : La boite de la montre fait "bon marché". Est ce une boite spécialement basique et légèrepour cause d'envoi longue distance . . ? Possible.Ceci étant, une fois débalée. . .la boite deviens de moindre importance.La montre elle ne fait pas "bon marché". J'ai moi même 6 montres et je dois dire que le rapport qualité perçue/prixoffert par cette Seiko est bluffante. Le Look est largement pompé sur la Rolex Submariner et si cette dernière présentebien évidemment une qualité perçue nettement supérieure, il faut considérer qu'on est dans un écart de prix de 1 à 25 !La lunette tourne dans les deux sens, ce qui fait que cette montre ne peu recevoir le label montre de plongée.Il n'en reste pas moins qu'elle est étanche à 100 m et en tant que vieux plongeur je peux dire qu'avec cette limiteil y a plus que de quoi faire. Plongée, nage, plage, montagne, bricolage, elle en a vu de toutes les couleurs et reste dans un état impeccable malgré les nombreux chocs... Mais après chacun ses gouts.C'est ma troisième (j'ai perdu les deux premières...), et pour contrebalancer certains des avis négatifs sur cette montre, je n'ai jamais eu de problème de réserve de marche (jusqu'à 36 voir 48 h sans problème, je la remonte d'environ 3-4 mn toutes les deux semaines ce qui est très correcte pour une montre mécanique à ce tarif. Le mécanisme a l'air de bien tenir la route. Le verre est résistant, tout comme le cadre qui ne prend pas trop les rayures. Le bracelet est plutôt confortable, bien qu'un peu rèche. Seul le simili cuir au niveau des poinçons d'attache s'abîme un peu avec le temps. Je comptais de toute façon le changer pour un bracelet nato un peu plus confortable, la taille étant standard.En bref, un produit avec un excellent rapport qualité prix. Je recommande, pour les amateurs de mécaniques sans budget mirobolant.Avis écrit après quelques mois d'utilisation. A voir au bout de deux ou trois ans ce qu'il en est au niveau de la durée de vie réelle du produit !

★★★★☆ Voila quelques semaines que je la porte et je n'ai pas trouvé de défaut sur la montre en elle même.Les réglages de la date et de l'heure ne sont pas compliqués. Je la porte tous les jours et elle ne s'est jamais arrêtée, je l'enlève la nuit pour dormir et je la retrouve le matin en plein tic-tac, toujours à l'heure.Très belles finitions, elle est plutôt silencieuse, dans une pièce au calme je commence à l'entendre à une vingtaine de cm de mon oreille.Seul bémol, le bracelet qui s'effiloche légèrement. Il faudra le changer de temps en temps j'imagine.

★★★★★ J'avoue avoir été agréablement surpris par la montre, je connais Seiko, et je sais que le rapport qualité/prix est excellent, mais au vu du prix de cette montre, je n'en était pas si sur. Il s'avère que je me suis trompé. Elle est bien finie, élégante, et la photo de présentation ne lui fait absolument pas justice.Le seul point négatif, le bracelet et la méthode particulière pour enlever des maillons, pas facile a faire avec les outils que l'on possède à la maison.Elle garde bien son heure, et passera la nuit sans soucis (si vous avez porté celle-ci durant la journée). Pour ceux qui veulent leur première automatique (comme moi), c'est l'idéal, et à un excellent prix.
